Tata Motors' electric vehicle unit Tata EV has launched the new series x of the country's first coupe SUV 'Curve EV'. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 16.99 lac. This car runs 502km on a full charge. The Curve EV series x will be available in two main variants - 'Accomplished x55' and 'Empowered x55'. Tata has also added a new 'Nitro Crimson' colour to it. Apart from this, it will also be available in the iconic Dark Edition. The company is also giving a lifetime high voltage battery warranty on it.

How is the performance of the Tata Curvv EV X Series car ?

Friends, the Tata Curvv EV series has been launched with a 55kwh battery pack. The company claims that it offers an  certified range of 502km on a single full charge. While in real world driving conditions, its range will be around 400km.

About 'Tata Curvv EV Accomplished X55' Variant

This variant is for customers who want modern technology and comfort. It has a panoramic sunroof that can be opened, a 26.03 cm digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. For safety, it has a 360-degree surround view camera system with blind spot monitor. It has India's first R-Comfort seats, which have passive ventilation and premium leatherette upholstery.

About 'Tata Curvv EV Empowered X55' Variant

This model is the most luxurious variant. It offers all the features of the X series model, in addition to which many premium features have been added. It gets a large 31.24cm cinematic touchscreen, ventilated front seats and a 6-way power adjustable driver's seat. For safety, it has been given a 20-feature Level-2 airbag. Other features include gesture control powered tailgate, R 18 alloy wheels and V2V/V2L (wheel to wheel/load) charging facility.

 

How is the Tata Curvv EV X Series Exterior Design ?

The overall design of the Tata Curvv  EV is inspired by the company's  Nexon  EV and Punch EV. It has a connected LED DRL and an all-LED headlight setup on the front bumper. There is a closed panel between the headlight setup, where the charging flap is attached. 18-inch aerodynamic style alloy wheels are given next to it. This Curve is the first car from Tata, which gets flush-type door handles. While the wheel arches are squarish in shape and an SUV-coupe style sloping roofline has been given on top.

The rear of this car has a connected LED tail light setup, a thick black bumper with a skid plate, triangular reflectors and reverse lamps. The car has a ground clearance of 190mm and a water wading capacity of 450mm. Its boot space is 500 liters and there is a front bonnet space of 11.6 liters.

 

What are the safety features in the Tata Curvv EV X Series ?

Friends, for the safety of passengers, this car has safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, blind spot monitor, all-wheel disc brake, hill hold assist, electronic parking brake with auto hold and 360 degree camera with blind view monitor.

Navigation and blind spot monitor are displayed on the driver screen. Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System has also been provided in the Tata Curve electric car, under which functions like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, high beam assist and autonomous emergency braking are available.

Tata Motor has provided an acoustic sound system in this EV, due to which the sound will be heard outside when the speed of the car decreases below 20kmph. This feature is designed to alert pedestrians in crowded areas.
