Friends, recently tech company Oppo has launched 'Enco Air 5 Pro' earbuds. This new device has 55DB ANC i.e., Active Noise Control. This eliminates the loud noise from outside. Without ANC, this device offers non-stop playback time of 54 hours. The price of these earbuds is around Rs 5000.

Unboxing:

The box packaging of this device is very simple. As soon as you open the box, you get the actual headphones at the top. Just below it are additional ear tips and a user manual. However, the company has done some cost cutting here. It does not have a Type-C charging cable.

Device and Fitting:

In terms of build quality, its matte black color variant gives a very premium feel. Oppo badging is given on the front of its case and an LED light indicator is given just below. A reset button is found along with the Type-C port on the bottom surface.

These earbuds come with a vacuum type design, which ensures their fitting in the ear well. It has an IP55 rating, which means that it will not be damaged even if sweat or a few splashes of water fall during a workout. It can be used comfortably while jogging or walking outdoors.

 

Specifications:

It has 12mm titanium coated drivers. It is based on Bluetooth version 6.0. It supports LHDC 5.0, AAC and SBC codecs along with Google Fast Pair. Its sound output is excellent for bass lovers. Its mids and treble are also very balanced.

Connectivity:

This device has a dual device connectivity feature. With this, it can be connected to both a laptop and a smartphone at the same time. Both its buds provide a total of 6 mics for calling. Thus, a dedicated game mode has been provided for gamers, in which the sound of footsteps and firing is heard very accurately without any lag.

Advanced touch control:

Touch controls have been provided on the stem of these earbuds. You can switch to the next track with a single tap. Apart from this, the volume can also be adjusted directly by sliding up or down on the stem. An 'AI translator' has also been provided in it.

Battery life:

These earbuds have a battery of 62mAh and 530mAh in the charging case. It provides a battery backup of up to 54 hours with ANC on and 29 hours with ANC off. It is managed through the 'HeyMelody' app, where the battery percentage of the case and buds is displayed.

App Features:

This app allows you to customize features like ANC/Transparency mode, dual device connectivity, 'Oppo Alive Audio' for 3D surround sound, equalizer presets, high-res mode, low-latency gaming mode, Spotify Tap and 'Find My Earbuds'.

It also has a wear detection feature, which automatically pauses the song or video as soon as you remove the earbuds from your ear and plays it when you put them back in.

Should you buy it?

If your budget is around 5000 and you are looking for earbuds that have powerful sound, heavy bass and amazing active noise cancellation, then this is a 'value for money' deal.

Things to watch out for: The company has removed the Type-C charging cable from the box in a bid to cut costs, so you should already have a Type-C cable. Also, serious gamers should still look towards wired headphones. These minor things aside, there is no competition in this budget in terms of features.
